Crites & Riddell

Crites & RidellWhen office supply company Crites & Riddell was looking to reduce costs and increase their efficiency in dealing with their large, corporate printing customers, they turned to Prisme Technologies. Now, with their PrintSYS web-to-print, online procurement portal they can provide 24/7 online service to their customers at a fraction of their previous cost per transaction.

Once they have set up a customer on their PrintSYS PrintShare portal, the customer's print files are available to any employee with the permission level to view them. Using unique user identification and passwords, Crites & Riddell's customers can control access and ordering permissions to meet their individual procurement rules. This means that a sales representative in the field, for example, can customize a proposal or business card and submit the job at 10 PM and their boss can approve the job at 9 AM the next morning, whereupon the job is immediately submitted to Crites & Riddell for production.

These innovations streamline the ordering process for Crites & Riddell, reducing their internal administration costs while giving their customer's print users tremendous control over their printed product requirements. Both Crites & Riddell and the customer's management have immediate access to order reports so that they can track usage and costs.

Crites & Riddell's customers like the increased control that PrintSYS gives them over branding, knowing that when a change is implemented to a digital asset on their portal, it will be applied across all future orders. This feature alone is enough to earn all of their customer's business as it eliminates instances where a branch office or a representative in the field is ordering an antiquated form, brochure, or other marketing device.

PrintSYS has also enabled Crites & Riddell's customers to reduce their print inventory and associated obsolescence costs. This approach has in some cases reduced the size of individual orders to Crites & Riddell but has increased the frequency and profitability of jobs.

With a focus on corporate clients, Crites & Riddell have been able to move most of their medium to large clients to the new system. The end result being lower cost per transaction, better use of their production assets (including their new Xerox press) and an increase in both customer loyalty and purchase volume.
